Italian Showdown held its 2026 edition from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May in Rimini, with event coverage by the Image Media team. The CrossFit® competition ran as part of RiminiWellness, the fitness and wellness trade fair marking its 20th edition this year at the Fiera di Rimini exhibition centre, and is organised by Just Better di Strati Carlo in collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group and RiminiWellness.
The competition split into three individual ability levels — Beginner, Intermediate and Rx — each with six age brackets for Masters athletes from 35 up to over 60, plus Beginner and Intermediate doubles divisions across male-male, male-female and female-female pairings. Beginner and Intermediate individuals competed over two days (Friday-Saturday), Rx individuals over three (Friday-Sunday) and doubles over two (Saturday-Sunday), with every athlete completing the same five workouts in their division on a no-cuts, no-qualification format, rankings decided on cumulative scores across all five.
Italian Showdown published podium results on its own site after the event, but individual placings were not independently accessible for this report at the time of writing, so none are itemised here.
