FC Porto formally presented their 2026/27 squad at Estádio do Dragão on Saturday 25 July 2026. The ceremony introduced 31 players individually before a crowd of 47,098 supporters.

Goalkeeper Diogo Costa, Rodrigo Mora, Victor Froholdt, Oskar Pietuszewski and André Silva received the loudest applause among the players, while head coach Francesco Farioli was also given a particularly strong reception.

The presentation was followed by a pre-season friendly against Aston Villa. William Gomes put Porto ahead after five minutes, Luka Lynch equalised in the 12th minute, and Pepê restored the hosts’ lead in the 41st. With no further goals after half-time, Porto completed a 2–1 victory.

Porto then opened their competitive season on 1 August by beating Torreense 1–0 in the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira in Coimbra. Froholdt headed the decisive goal shortly after the half-hour mark.
