Editorial standards
How IM News combines local knowledge, original photography and editorial verification to produce reliable coverage.
How our reporting is produced
IM News covers sports, events and culture through the IM News Editorial Desk and Image Media contributors in the communities where events take place. A local correspondent may provide first-hand information, practical context, photographs or observations from the event. Correspondents are credited for the contribution they make and are not presented as professional reporters unless that is their role.
The Editorial Desk takes responsibility for the published article. It researches the wider story, checks material facts against available evidence and reliable public information, resolves inconsistencies where possible, and writes the final report in the IM News editorial voice.
Verification and sources
Verification may use official event information, organisers, results services, clubs, sporting bodies, public authorities, direct statements and established news sources. Important public sources are linked in the article when they help readers understand or verify a material claim. Information that cannot be verified is omitted, qualified or clearly attributed.
Details supplied directly by an organiser or correspondent are treated as supplied information until they can be checked. Where independent confirmation is not reasonably available, the article identifies who provided the information instead of presenting it as independently established fact.

Accuracy and corrections
IM News corrects material errors when they are identified. Significant changes should be reflected in the article’s update information, and a clarification may be added when readers need to understand what changed. Minor spelling, formatting and presentation changes may be made without a correction note.
To report a possible error, email contact@imagemedia.one with the article link and the information that should be reviewed.
Photography and presentation
IM News aims to preserve the meaning and integrity of documentary photographs. Images may be cropped or adjusted for presentation, but not in a way that materially misrepresents the scene. Credits identify the photographer and Image Media relationship when applicable.
